The Guitar Learning Centre was formed in 2007 by Toby Boyle and Steve McCormack. Toby Boyle has taught guitar privately and in schools and colleges for around 20 years. He has also worked at a high level in the music business; as a touring performer he has played at Wembley Stadium, The Royal Albert Hall, Glastonbury festival and theatres, venues and festivals around the world. He built a respected teaching business in the Tunbridge Wells area since 2000 and is now the director of Toby Boyle Music supplying quality live music for events – please see www.tobyboylemusic.co.uk
Steve McCormack is a young and very talented musician and teacher. He is an active musician and songwriter, playing regularly locally and in venues in the UK and Ireland. He is extremely popular with the younger students and became managing director of the centre in the early part of 2008. He handles the day to day running of the centre. You can hear some of Steve’s music on www.myspace.com/theroxmusic. We are lucky enough to currently engage three additional tutors who give lessons at the centre – Tommy Stankovic, David Miles and James McMaster - www.myspace.com/jamesmcmaster, all extremely talented and experienced musicians and educators. In additition we also provide peripatetic teachers for primary schools across the county. Bidborough primary, Leigh primary and in the past Rosehill and Homewood House Schools. Lesson prices and terms 30 minute lessons £17.00 1 hour lessons £34
Please note that 48 hours notice is required to cancel lessons or the full lesson fee will be charged. In some cases it is possible to move lessons if you can’t make a particular week. We will bill you termly (normally 5-6 weeks) lessons.
You are welcome to come along for a try out lesson to make sure you like the teacher before you commit to a regular time slot.
